Transit Choices: What You Need to Know
Currently, about 102,000 vehicles travel this section of I-29/35 each day. Because there will be intermittent ramp closures at the various interchanges, lane closures during non-peak travel hours, and lanes narrowed to 10-ft. when they are open, it is reasonable to expect congestion levels to increase during construction.
To help ease congestion, the project is working with various regional transit agencies and community partners to help promote alternative modes of transportation and reduce the number of cars on the highway.
We encourage you to be a part of the solution throughout construction:
- Ride public transit.
- Join a carpool or vanpool.
- Telecommute by working from home or a satellite office.
- Flex your work hours to avoid morning and evening rush hours.
- Schedule meetings at off peak times.
- Ride your bike or walk to work.
- Choose a detour route.
